In line with the school’s policies and plans, together with The Gender and Development Committee and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) successfully conducted the FREE various livelihood training programs in:
- Bread Making
- Process Food by Pickling
- Process Food by Smoking
- Produce Organic Fertilizer
The one-day livelihood training was conducted in Sitio Langob, Brgy. Granada, Gigantes, Carles, Iloilo with the participation of 25 locals, where 23 of them were females and 2 males on May 11th 2023.
Accordingly, training programs were designed taking into consideration the barangay’s capabilities, available resources, and local niche. These programs were attended mostly by women of the Gigantes Island. Women’s participation was a significant step towards empowerment, as women lag behind in economic participation and financial independence.
The training programs were also intended to disseminate knowledge on Article 9262 or the Anti VAW-C law.
