LGPC Cookery and BPP Learners implements COP at Brgy. Lawis

Under LGPC’s Community Outreach Program, Pag-Ulikid, the Cookery NC II and Bread and Pastry Production (BPP) NC II trainees, conducted a Skills Demonstration and Feeding Program at Brgy. Lawis, Balasan, Iloilo, on February 27, 2025.

The activities were conducted with the guidance of their learning facilitators in Cookery NC II and BPP NC II, namely: Mrs. Dana Mae G. Betita, Instructor II and Mrs. Irish B. Caballero, Instructor I.

Dr. Ariel Reckonette B. Villanueva, Vocational School Superintendent I of LGPC, also showed his support by attending the program together with Hon. Rossana P. Pasco, Barangay Captain of Lawis.

During the Skills Demonstration, the trainees of Cookery NC II showcased their culinary skills in making Chicken Cordon Bleu, Carbonara, Side Dishes, and also showed their proficiency by presenting proper plating; meanwhile, the trainees of BPP NC II delivered a live demonstration on the production process of Doughnut and Puto Cheese.

    The activity garnered the attention of the residents who actively joined in the program and eagerly watched the demonstrations to learn how to make the said culinary dishes and variety of bread and pastries.

    For the Feeding Program, the trainees distributed the food they made during the Skills Demonstration among the participants and the residents of the barangay – especially prioritizing the nutrition of the elderly and the children.

    Through the outreach program, it is LGPC’s objective to share culinary and baking skills to its clients, and in the process expand access to TVET and strengthening food production within the community.
