LGPC SSG spearheads Bayanihan Skills Hub

To introduce the TESDA Online Program (TOP), the Supreme Student Government (SSG) of LGPC, organized training sessions for the student leaders of the school and Out-Of-School Youth under the Bayanihan Skills Hub Project, held on February 27, 2025 and on March 4, 2025, at the LGPC DormTel.

The Bayanihan Skills Hub Project is an initiative by the SSG advisers, Ms. Regine F. Patricio, Instructor I, and Mrs. Ruby P. Napico, School Librarian I.

The training sessions were conducted under LGPC’s community outreach program, Pag-Ulikid, and in partnership with Balasan’s Municipal Social Welfare Development Office and the China Bank Savings (CBS).

Through the project, it was the school’s objective to introduce and enroll the participants to the TESDA Online Program and equip them with necessary skills to navigate and effectively utilize the platform.

Dr. Ariel Reckonette B. Villanueva, VSS I of LGPC, with Ms. Ma. Janette D. Alunday, RSW, MPA, MSWDO, Mr. Elmer J. Lingco, Region Head of CBS, and Mr. Ron Ron L. Delos Reyes, Senior Manager, Cluster Head of CBS, greatly supported the training and encouraged the participants.

Twenty-Nine (29) student leaders of LGPC joined the first training session, while forty-eight (48) participants registered under the project, Bayanihan Skills Hub: Empowering Out-of-School Youth in Balasan.

The training included step-by-step instructions and hands-on sessions that enabled the students and youths who registered in the TOP to successfully generate their training certificates.

The introduction of the TOP through the Bayanihan Skills Hub Project is one of LGPC’s ways to expand its clients’ access to training programs, and to build awareness on the benefits of online learning.
