Leon Ganzon Polytechnic College trained a total of 152 Alternative Learning System (ALS) students from January to March as part of the Community Outreach Program of the college. VIS Josefina B. Arellano, Asst. Prof. Germaine Pauline P. Arevalo, and Instr Jean F. Amistoso experts in Dressmaking delivered the training in Doormat/Potholder Making. Experts in Food and Beverage Services in the person of Instr. Merare B. Garrovillo, Asst. Prof. Janice B. Pido, and Instr. Christine Marie B. Bueno provided the training in Table Napkin Folding and Skirting. Asst. Prof. Ruditha M. Andreo, Instr. Wendel C. Villasis, and Instr. Adonis L. Antay experts in Organic Agriculture Production headed the training in Organic Concoction Making, and Carbonized Rice Hulls Making.
The training was first implemented in the District of Balasan on January 30-31- February 01, 2023 wherein 35 interested ALS students were trained in Doormat/Potholder Making, Table Napkin Folding and Skirting, Organic Concoction Making, and Carbonized Rice Hulls Making.
The second lap of the training was in the District of Concepcion on March 08-09, 2023 with 23 students trained in Doormat/Potholder Making and Table Napkin Folding and Skirting. Meanwhile, the 19 eager ALS students of the District of San Dionisio were given a basic training in Doormat/Potholder Making, Table Napkin Folding and Skirting, Organic Concoction Making, and Carbonized Rice Hulls Making on March 15-16, 2023.
The third phase of the training was at the District of Batad on March 21-22, 2023 with 41 dynamic participants and was trained in Doormat/Potholder Making and Table Napkin Folding and Skirting.
The last leg of the program was on March 28-29, 2023 at the District of Estancia with 34 enthusiastic students. The participants were trained in Doormat/Potholder Making and Table Napkin Folding and Skirting.
Districts of Ajuy and Carles had submitted their request for the said Basic Training as well.
