The 2022 Regional Skills Competition of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Western Visayas concluded through an awarding ceremony last August 30, 2022 at the Regional Training Center-Iloilo Quadrangle.
A total of 41 TechVoc graduates from around the region participated in the last year’s annual skills competition in six (6) trade areas, namely: Cooking, Restaurant Service, Fashion Technology, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Welding, and Bread and Pastry Production.
LGPC’s own victors were-The Champion Mr. Joepert D. Lagarde IET Learner for Electrical Installation Maintenance; Silver Medalist Mr. Jason Eulalio, HRST Learner for Bread and Pastry, Bronze Medalist Ms. Jongie Gengos for Fashion Technology; and Bronze Medalist Marvin Fuentes for Cooking. Kudos also to Mr. Jonie Gerine Barboza, HRST Learner and Mr. Jessie Boy Lachica for representing the school and for putting in good effort.
The awarding ceremony was graced by Regional Director Jerry G. Tizon, J.D., together with the Provincial Directors, Acting Provincial Directors, Administrators, Acting Administrators and members of the Federation of TVET schools in the region.
Winners of the RSC will represent Region VI in the upcoming National Skills Competition in November this year.
Aside from the chance to represent the region, winners received Php15, 000.00 for gold, Php10, 000.00 for Silver and Php5, 000.00 for Bronze.
